The 1000 Islands Region is comprised of many communities, from small hamlets to towns, villages, and cities scattered across multiple counties.
Each of these municipalities are relatively small in population, the Thousand Islands Region being found in a rural setting.
Each town, village or city close to the St. Lawrence River is fiercely proud of its contribution as a part of the 1000 Islands Region, and
rightly so, for each offers its own unique history, features, and municipal services that together make the 1000 Islands Region as wonderful as it is. |
