We would like to congratulate Stella from Georgia for winning the 1000islands t-shirt in April 2007!
Here are some things she likes about the 1000 islands.
"The beauty of the entire region itself and the lovley homes, particularly
seen from boating on the waters. Some of my favorite attractions are Boldt
Castle, Alexandria Bay and Clayton. There are so many fond memories of
summers spent in the 1000 Islands when I was growing up. It is one of my
favorite places on earth."

We would like to congratulate Michaela DeAngelo from New York for winning the 1000islands t-shirt in June 2007!
Here are some things she likes about the 1000 islands.
"I love the crisp blue water, the fresh air, the area in general is one of the most beautiful
I have ever seen! I have been to so many places and there is something about Clayton that makes it
magical and just gives me a peaceful feeling while I am there to relax and enjoy the surroundings and
the wonderful hospitality of the people that live there."

We would like to congratulate K. Martin Mayer from Pa for winning the 1000islands t-shirt in September 2007!
Here are some things they likes about the 1000 islands.
"What is there about the Thousand Islands Region that is NOT to like. The sun rises are by far the most beautiful in the world, The crisp cool air on a spring morning, when the water is warmer then the air, and you have a slight mist running across the surface of the water. Over there a fish breaks the calm stillness of the water, you can hear a loon caling from a distance. The warmth of the sun as the morning turns into noon in the blink of an eye. The friendly smiles and wave from the folks on the shore as you pass by in your boat. And then there are the sun sets, every one unique. As the sun sets ever so gently over the Canadian horizon, the reflection of the sun dances off the water like a million diamonds. What do I like about the 1000 islands Region, just about everything, but most of all, being there."

We would like to congratulate Linda Thompson from NY for winning the 1000islands t-shirt in May 2008!
Here are some things they likes about the 1000 islands.
"The 1000 Islands Region is our home-away-from-home during the Summer months. We were blessed several years ago with the purchase of a lovely cottage on the edge of the River, near Clayton. Our little community of cottages nestled between The Chateau B&B and Pier 65 Marina has become a family of fun, caring people who enjoy boating to fish or sightsee, or just to relax and swim in a cove, kayaks, jet skis, campfires, the best sunsets ever, and all the activities offered along the Seaway. We like the opportunities to worship locally, volunteer at places like the Clayton Opera House and Antique Boat Museum, and support upstate businesses. The spirit of welcome is evident everywhere one goes, and the choices for entertainment and personal enrichment are myriad. We like getting the Thousand Island Sun year-round, so as not to miss a thing that goes on in this special, unique paradise: home to some of the most wonderful friends, sights, and activities on Earth!"
