While driving one day along the St. Lawrence River, the owner Ellen Nesbitt realized there was no gourment chocolate within 50 miles. She started putting the two together, St. Lawrence - Chocolate, and wondered if she could make a go of a chocolate shop. After much research and tasting, the shop was opened in December 2006.

They are the only handmade chocolate shop in St. Lawrence County. All of their chocolates are molded giving them a shiny surface with detailed designs on top.

People can watch the chocolates being made through their large picture widow to the kitchen. They have Special tastings for special days. They have More than 30 flavors of chocolates, truffles and clusters, chocolate covered pretzels and cookies, solids, as well as a variety of other confections.

Most visitors remember the smell when they walk in the shop, the great taste of their product, and the wonderful customer service.

They are open M-W 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Thr-Sat 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Closed Sundays.
